Watch: Odd Future - "Oldie"

In case you haven't heard Odd Future's Tape Volume 2, "Oldie"'s 10 minutes close out this Loiter Squad release. For those fans turned off by Goblin or Odd Future's entire 2011 campaign, they've roared back with a love-for-the-crew cut. While critics and skeptics scramble to askew Odd Future's claimed "fifteen minutes of fame", Tyler and company showcase here why they deserved those "fifteen minutes" and perhaps even more. On "Oldie", they remind us why wailing "Free Earl" or "Golf Wang" was so enjoyable in the first place. Odd Future's effortless "crew-love"mentality displays first and foremost that the group, despite record deals and major endorsements, are still as charismatic and appealable as ever. This is the definitive Odd Future anthem if there ever was one.

Listen: Andy Hull Covers The Weakerthans

I happened to stumble upon two separate acoustic renditions done by Manchester Orchestra's Andy Hull. Via his Tumblr, Hull posted his own take on The Weakerthan's "A Plea From A Cat Named Virtute" followed by posting a second cover of "Virtute The Cat Explains Her Departure" the next day. Hearing Hull's fervent vocals placed over a simple acoustic piece bleeds nothing but Right Away, Great Captain! Fans of RAGC!, Hull's solo venture, will find delight in these two pieces. Hull also stated this: "Lots and lots of RAGC news, release date, track listing, blaaaaaaa coming very soon." Of course, this was in reference to the upcoming The Church Of The Good Thief, Hull's third release under the RAGC! moniker. Listen to the Hull covers below. Also included is the latest track from RAGC! entitled "Blame", in case you missed it.

Listen: Arcade Fire - "Abraham's Daughter"

I can't seem to wrap my head around the idea of Arcade Fire lending their music to the soundtrack of the upcoming Hunger Games, yet here it is. The indie-rock giants have streamed one of the two tracks in "Abraham's Daughter", a climbing epic led by co-lead singer Regine Chassagne. In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Win Butler had this to say about their soundtrack feature:
“I tried to put myself in the headspace of how excited I’d be if this film was coming out when I was 15. I still remember hearing Radiohead’s ‘Exit Music (for a Film)’ in [Baz Luhrmann's] Romeo + Juliet when I was that age. Our whole approach was to get into the world and try to create something that serves the story and the film. There’s something in the story of Abraham and Isaac that I think resonates with the themes in the film, like sacrificing children. So we made a weird, alternate-universe version of that, where it’s as if Abraham had a daughter — kind of a metaphor for [Hunger Games character] Katniss.”
"The Hunger Games" can be seen in theaters March 23rd. You can stream "Abraham's Daughter" here.
