Stream: Tearjerker - Hiding (EP)

The Toronto-based indie-rock band Tearjerker's Hiding can be heard in its entirety below, as well as downloaded name-your-price via their bandcamp. These guys definitely have that zoned out shoegaze sound, while combining elements of dream pop/chillwave and lo-fi. They also have a kick-ass limited edition Hiding cassette release available for purchase. Highly recommend checking that out.

Listen: Sky Ferreira - "Everything Is Embarrassing"

The newest track from Sky Ferreira, "Everything Is Embarrassing", will be released as part of the upcoming Ghost EP. The track, produced by Ariel Rechtshaid (Usher's "Climax") and Dev Hynes (Blood Orange), gives off the feel of a sullen-chillwave synth-funk progression. Ghost is out October 2nd.

Listen: Mount Eerie - "I Walked Home Beholding"

Mount Eerie's "I Walked Home Beholding" manages to obtain that same subtle beauty Phil Elverum is known for. The second track released off Ocean Roar follows similarly behind the title track, crawling along at a beautifully steady pace with Elverum narrating with his ever-clear vocals. You can order/pre-order Mount Eerie's Clear Moon and Ocean Roar via P.W. Elverum & Sun.

Stream: Stars - The North

Watch: The Hives - "Wait A Minute"

It's business as usual for the almost-fifteen year veterans The Hives, as they released the video for their second single off of 2012's Lex Hives. The film is fairly simply, bouncing around the members as the song progresses, yet it's oddly amusing. I'm digging the camera work on this one. [Directed by Travis Schneider]

Listen: Ben Gibbard - "Teardrop Windows"

Death Cab For Cutie frontman Ben Gibbard's debut solo album, Former Lives, will be released October 16th on Barsuk. The first single from the effort is entitled "Teardrop Windows" and can be heard below. Pre-order Former Lives here.

Stream: Animal Collective - Centipede Hz

If you missed out on the live stream of Animal Collective's 10th LP, you're in luck; you can still listen to Centipede Hz in it's entirety. While it may be too early to form final opinions, I believe we can safely say this does not let down. Whether it lives up to the mege-hype it received is unbeknownst to me, but at this moment we have a very good album from a very good band. Listen to Centipede Hz here, which is officially released September 4th.

Listen: Mount Eerie - "Ocean Roar"

Most artist would simply choose to sit back and watch an album acclaimed as highly as Mount Eerie's Clear Moon appear on many year end lists, but Phil Elverum isn't most artists. Ocean Roar is scheduled to be released September 4th and will be his second LP of the year. You can hear the title track below, which clocks in at just under three minutes. You can order/pre-order Mount Eerie's Clear Moon and Ocean Roar via P.W. Elverum & Sun.

Watch: Animal Collective - "Today's Supernatural"

Animal Collective have put out visuals to go along with the first single off of Centipede Hz, "Today's Supernatural". Of course, this is done in a fashion that only Animal Collective could achieve. The understandably trippy video is difficult to describe for many reasons, so I'll just let you view it for yourself. The hotly-anticipated Centipede Hz is out September 4th. [Directed by Danny Perez]

Listen: Ab-Soul - "Nibiru"

Following reports of the release of a slew of Black Hippy affiliated tracks over this week, Ab-Soul's "Nibiru" has surfaced. The JMNS-produced track can be heard below. Be on the lookout for the expected Schoolboy Q and Kendrick Lamar singles, while Jay Rock's "Yola" made its rounds earlier this week.

Listen: JJ DOOM - Key To The Kuffs (Album Stream)

The most recent producer to team up with DOOM (formerly MF DOOM) is rapper-producer Jneiro Jarel (Dr. Who Dat?/Shape Of Broad Minds). The duo, coined JJ DOOM, pairs Jarel's abstract beats with DOOM's rugged flow we've come to love (see Madvillainy/MM..Food). While Key To The Kuffs' official release isn't until August 20th (via Lex Records), The Guardian is streaming the LP in its entirety. You can hear the album here, including a mastered version of the Thom Yorke/Jonny Greenwood collab Retarded Frens.

Listen: King Krule - "Rock Bottom"

Archy Marshall turned heads last year with his debut release, as there was much to like about his self-titled EP under his King Krule moniker. While his vocal style is anything but perfect, the roughness in his delivery only adds to the appeal. Tracks in the likes of "Out Getting Ribs" and "The Noose of Jah City" are more than enough to garner the acclaim he has received. Now, the newest materiel from Marshall has surfaced in the form of "Rock Bottom". The single is out September 24th via Rinse. You can listen to the track below, which is more or less in the same vein as his previous release. That is a good thing.

Watch: Purity Ring - "Fineshrine" (Pitchfork.tv's +1)

The most recent installment of Pitchfork.tv's ever-entertaining +1 series features electronic artist Purity Ring. Watch: Big Boi + Little Dragon - "Mama Told Me"

Big Boi announced late last year that he was in the studio with swedish indie-pop group Little Dragon. Thanks to Fader's uncapped series, a live performance of the track has emerged. Making a special guest appearance during a Little Dragon set, Big Boi commands the stage with his newest funk-inspired southern anthem. "Mama Told Me" will be on Big Boi's upcoming LP, Vicious Lies & Dangerous Rumors. The highly anticipated follow up to 2010's Sir Lucious Left Foot will hopefully be without delays that plagued his solo debut. Look for the LP to drop November 13th, fingers crossed.

Listen: Scott Kelly And The Road Home - "The Forgiven Ghost In Me"

Neurosis frontman Scott Kelly has streamed the title track off his upcoming solo album. The Forgiven Ghost In Me is Kelly's third album under his solo venture and will be out August 13th via Neurot Records

Listen to the title track over at Decibal Magazine.

Listen: The xx - "Chained"

As expected, The xx have released another gorgeous track off their upcoming release. "Chained" will be the second track on Coexist, following up the previously released "Angels". Coexist is out September 11th. Until then, listen to "Chained" below.

Listen: Hot Chip - "Look At Where We Are (Four Tet Remix)"

It seems that Hot Chip's "Look At Where We Are" is receiving the remix treatment, as Major Lazer recently gave us a rework a few weeks back. Now Four Tet has put his own spin on the track, expanding the cut to a seven-and-a-half minute jam. Listen to the remix below.

Watch: TNGHT - "Bugg'n"

Finally, we are given visuals to coincide with TNGHT's bombastic production. The Hudson Mohawke/Lunice duo has recently received much acclaim for their self-titled EP, and rightfully so. Arguably the best track from the five-piece work, "Bugg'n is the first to warrant a video. Watch the Dominic Flannigan and Peter Marsden directed clip above.

Watch: Passion Pit - "Constant Conversations"

Passion Pit's "Constant Conversations", off their newest release Gossamer, has just been given an official video. A party filled with secret love affairs between attendees unfolds under the soulful cut. The video was directed by Dori Oskowitz.(Source: Pitchfork.tv).
