As part of The New York Renaissance mixtape, Joey Bada$$ has put out a new track entitled "Day In The Life". The bars laid down here are as inspired as ever, with the prodigy dropping his golden-era delivery over a vintage, trumpet-sampling Harry Fraud beat. Check it out below and download the tape here.
The highly-anticipated collaboration between legendary producer DJ Premier and the prodigy boom-bap revivalist Joey Bada$$ has arrived. Thanks to Green Label Sound, Mountain Dew's record label, you can download "Unorthodox" below. It is unfortunately a clean version, yet it is hard to complain when you receive a free track from this duo. The cut hopes to set off an already-hopeful 2013 for the Pro Era member. Late december of last year saw the release of his crew mixtape, and his appearance on A$AP Rocky's "1 Train" is show stopping.
The Joey Bada$$-fronted Progressive Era (or Pro Era) are the latest up-and-comers to release a joint mixtape, with the appropriately titled PEEP The aPROcalypse being put out today. If the closing track posse cut (Suspect) from Bada$$' acclaimed 1999 tape is any indication, the release will be promising, with fellow members showcasing their talents to be potentially on par with that of Bada$$'. Download the tape here, which will undoubtedly be crammed with 90's throwback, boom-bap jams.
