More good mixtape hip-hop, this time from Stones Throw-signed MC/producer Jonwayne. The Marion Morrison Mixtape is the third installment in the Cassette series that, to this point, has only been released via cassette tape (obviously). They decided to make this one free for download. Jeremiah Jae, the Chicago rapper with an affinity for spitting over left-field beats, has just signed a deal with Warp. In accordance, Jae has dropped a quick 25-minute mixtape entitled Bad Jokes to mark the occasion. Flying Lotus has his hands in the production, among others, so you know this is a noteworthy release. Unfortunately, the mystery that is the currently anonymous rapper Captain Murphy will not be solved today, as his Duality mixtape has been pushed back to a November 15th release (or possibly sooner). He has, however, posted a new track featuring Azizi Gibson and Jeremiah Jae, notable emcees on Brainfeeder. Check out all three drop rhymes on "Immaculation" below.
