Stream: Future Islands
On The Water is streaming in it's entirety via NPR. This is the synth pop outfit's third full-length album, which is scheduled for release October 11th. Although I've never head any of their previous material (save for a few songs here and there), I can already sense a Wild Beasts type relationship. Mostly because Samuel Herring's vocal style is unique and slightly strange, just like that of Wild Beasts' Hayden Thorp. It might take a little getting used to on my part, but the music is already enjoyable vocals withstanding. Check it out.
