It appears that fan-favorite OFWGKTA prodigy Earl Sweatshirt has finally been "freed". As most know by now, Earl inexplicably cut ties with Odd Future some time before they gained global recognition. Earl's disappearance came without answers for some time, mostly due in part to fellow Odd Future members' unwillingness to provide an explanation. However, information surfaced suggesting Earl was forcibly sent to a youth camp in Samoa.
Fast forward to this past November, where the "Free Earl" movement was beyond it's peak, almost to the point of a nuisance. Tyler proceeded to tweet false reports of Earl's homecoming, to the dismay of numerous fans. Well, it appears Earl may actually be back this time.
A Twitter account presumably in connection to Earl himself surfaced earlier today, along with a video teasing a new track. Hinted in the newly emerged video and via Twitter, Earl offers a new track for the price of 50,000 followers by the end of the day. That mark was reached about three hours ago, and the track was delivered as promised. Listen to "Home" at "The Official Earl Sweatshirt Website". (via MTV)
